LOCATION
The northern part of Zakynthos is like stepping back in time!
Small traditional villages, with some of the best preserved buildings in Zakynthos, which survived the 1953 earthquake. Smiling locals are ready to welcome you. Scenic drives and dramatic cliffs offer the perfect experience of a Greek holiday.
Agios Nikolaos is a settlement with a small cove on the north-eastern side of Zakynthos. It is situated 30km away from Zakynthos Town and 35km away from Dionisios Solomos – International Airport.
At Agios Nikolaos the fine pebble beach and the clear, deep sea are ideal for swimming and relaxing. The small port is always full of fishing boats, yachts and excursion boats that will take you to the Blue Caves and Navagio (Shipwreck) Beach.
There are many taverns around where you can taste fresh fish, local dishes and traditional Greek delicacies.
If you feel like exploring further and visiting our neighbouring island, the ferry departs daily from the Agios Nikolaos Port to Pessada in Kefalonia.
Also close to Emerald Villas are the famous Makris Gialos Beach and Xigia (sulphur) Springs.
Askos, an area well-known not just for its natural beauty but also for the “Askos Stone Park”, is 1km away from Agios Nikolaos Port. The park is the ideal place for nature lovers and children to explore.
